DAY 6 (POST TRIAL) ALFENDI & SHIJIMA & BIGBY & ELIZABETH & ALICE
[Well, what a trial. Back and forth accusations between several people, a search for wounds, inquiries galore, the discovery that Bigby has weird kinks, Adam's sudden confession...it was one giant rollercoaster, but somehow, they've all made it. Somehow, this apartment is still ticking away with its strange inhabitants, now plus one in the form of Elizabeth.]
[Alfendi seems pleased by the whole affair- outwardly, at least. Once they've all gathered, he pulls out Bigby's whiskey bottle from last time, offering it to his fellow roommates (and Liz) with a devilish smile. It looks like his nicer side still isn't ready to come out - and honestly, he still looks sickly, but he's in a good mood.]
[He lets out a laugh.]
Well, I'm pretty sure I'm going to die. I don't suppose anyone is going to help me write my last will and testament?
[Another laugh as he sits on the edge of the couch, smiling wide,]
Anyways, never mind that, we're not out of the woods yet. We may have caught the guilty party, but there are still a few rats running around. What are everyone's thoughts on the matter? [A beat, as he glances to their newest occupant.] Also, before I forget, I just wanted to give a warm welcome to Elizabeth. You definitely came to the right place.

[Alice rummages around in her clothing and pulls out... is that rat poison? It's totally rat poison. Alice, why. She plops herself down on the couch next to Alfendi and holds the poison out to the group, looking weary but still smiling anyway.]
I think we all sort of painted a target on our backs today. So, if something does happen to me, I want you guys to take this and use it if you think it'll be useful.

[ Okay, she's still making the area of the floor near the couch for a makeshift bed. But, they can see Elizabeth specifically brought her own crossbow and 2 tranq bolts. She definitely is looking at Alice a little more precariously. ]
I don't blame you. A girl needs her secrets.

[No regrets, honestly.]

[ No blame. ]
Do you have any other offensive weapons?

[She shrugs.]
I plan on holding onto it as long as I'm alive, but if I do die, I want one of you to have it.
no subject
You'll do the same for me if I die, right? Take the people down who deserve it, I mean.

Anyways, yeah so Elizabeth has some information for you all. But, she needs to fucking drink first because this entire day was draining? ]
Thank you for - [ well, Bigby did force her. Whatever, she's in pajamas already. ] - um... giving me companionship tonight.
[ She didn't seem as stern as she did in public. In fact, with her hair flatter and make-up less applied, she looks younger? More inno, tbh. ]
With the apartment getting cut so drastically, you'd think I'd appreciate the bed but - I was getting worried.

[He laughs.]
And I got my guess right twice in a row, apparently. First Luke, now him. I was pushing Adam quite hard, too. I think they'll kill me before they kill any of you, so don't you all worry.

[He shakes his head.]
I wonder how he was able to kill, and yet wasn't a staff member himself? Isn't that quite the strange thing?

Also means that they aren't going to kill you because of it. You pissed Adam off, not the rest of them. You'll probably live another day. Maybe.

[She's also salty. And actually sick. Her face is not a good, healthy color.]
I still think Cici's reeeeally suspicious, though. Even though he's not the one who killed Franzy.
no subject
[ a shrug. ]
He may not have been staff, but he killed someone over a petty grudge. I don't really mind that sort of thing, but it's a nuisance right now when we need to kill the people who set this all up.
Also, if you're going to kill over a grudge, you may as well own up to it rather than justifying your actions. There's no justification for it, after all. If you can't accept that, it's stupid, isn't it?
no subject
[#logic. Apparently the fact that he confessed to keep them from killing a kid didn't earn him any points in her book...]
If he wasn't prepared to own it, then he definitely shouldn't have taken someone else's life into his hands. It's as simple as that.

eventually he would grow tired of Alfendi's constant pestering and roll off of the couch, slowly sitting up and pressing his back against the foot of the furniture. he clears his throat to gain the attention of the others. ]
Uhhh. So. I'm not the... best at this kind of shit, but. [ notice how he doesn't hold eye contact with any of them. ] I should say my thanks to all of you. Even you, Alfendi. If you guys didn't back me up in the trial, who knows where momentum would have swung. And for eventually helping me get my shit together and stop the bleeding. [ that one in particular is for both Shijima and Elizabeth. ]
Dying is something that I haven't had to worry about for a long time. It's bound to happen and they could come back and make sure of that whenever they want, and I'm willing to accept that. But I wanted to... express my appreciation, I guess.
[ it hurt to say that more than anything else, really. ]

[ immortal high five, or something. but not actually. ]
As I said last time we met, this game requires us to trust someone at some point. Right or wrong, I am choosing to trust all of you. Blind distrust is just as dangerous as blind mistrust. I will take the path that is neither, and consider us allies. Since my usual partner isn't here...
no subject
[He says, with a huff - he still sounds a little sniffly from the nosebleed from before, THANKS BIGBY. But he's not going to carry a grudge. He's just going to be your local jerk comrade in arms or something. He's still figuring it out.]
And of course we said what we said. You were innocent. Going after you would be a waste of time and would allow the real killer to escape. [A pause.] Besides, the other one said to trust you, and so far, he hasn't been wrong. Just keep surviving, jerk. I'll guess we'll make sure that continues to happen.
[NICE WORDS??? FROM RUDE ALFENDI?????? cherish this moment because it ain't happening again.]

[ Re: worrying about dying. However. Elizabeth who is sitting with her back to the wall gives a nod. ]
Don't do anything stupid in the future to pop your stitches and we'll be even. That's the only thanks we want. I think.
no subject
[Alice winks.]
It would be really annoying if you actually did die, so you're not allowed to do that. [In other words, she's also glad he survived? 10/10, would leap to his defense in a trial again.]
I've decided to think of all of you as my comrades, so don't you go abandoning us.
