DAY 3 (DAYTIME) ALFENDI & ELIZABETH
There we go.
[They're now out of earshot from anyone who might possibly listen in to their conversation. Alfendi smiles at Elizabeth, burying his hands into the long pockets of his white coat.]
It's actually incredibly simple. You want to find out if someone has left a room in the middle of the night, yes? What you do is that you take something, like a piece of hair or a needle, something thin and small, and you lodge it into the hinges or the space around a door. If the person leaves the room, the hair or needle, of course, falls down due to the movement, but it's so small that the person, hopefully, won't notice it.
[A simple tactic, but incredibly effective.]
That way, you can check later to see if the thing has been moved, and if it is, it's quite the nice clue to tell you that someone in that room has exited it during the night. We could do something similar to that, if we want to be especially sneaky here.

Of course, she blends in, but listens quite nicely. Humming to herself, nodding with the occasional 'uh huh'... she glances through the corner of her eyes to him. ]
Is there a way where we can dictate direction? Presumably, we're lodging - and you know, this includes you and I - with possible staff members. If we're put under, they'll be able to leave.
[ To her, she just having something fall down doesn't give her a thought on if the room was stepped into or exited from. ]
Best case scenario? They got one sick murder in and they're done... but I doubt that's the case.
[ But... this isn't a bad idea. ]
But... this is a good start.

[Of course, that isn't the reality at all. Alfendi's shrewd as shrewd can be, and he's glad to talk such a thing over with someone he thinks is on the same level as him.]
Oh, I hardly doubt they won't try again. They've got the upper hand, here. It would've been one thing if Diva had been one of their team, but as it happens, she wasn't. They're going to get very cocky from their victory.
[A pause, as he considers her question.]
Hm. That would be the difficult thing, indeed. Easier said than done. We'd have to be very quick before sleep sets in, and do it so that no one would be suspicious of it. If there was a way for it to occur after we go to sleep...

You know just how to burst my bubble, mister. [ She says with a huff of annoyance - mainly at the situation. She crosses her arm soon after. ] Let them get cocky. Arrogance is a pitfall and our advantage.
[ Though... as he discusses, she stops for a brief moment: ]
That's the million dollar question. We're out of commission as soon as it hits. Guessing the staff isn't.

[He's not really the type to sugarcoat things if he can help it. He may sound nice about it, but he's not going to lie.]
It really is a pitfall - when people get cocky, they slip up. They aren't careful. It's exactly what we need.
[He sighs, shifting his legs.] They probably aren't, yes. We don't even know how much time they have available to them during the night. But either way, something that we could do to mark them as the staff would be quite the boon to us.

The common factor is that we all face being forced under - some... effect is doing it. Chemical? [ She's still not sure about people's theory with the bracelets knocking them out. In Rapture, she had access to bolts with a variety of different makes - gas and tranquilizer. Maybe it was some odd combination of both? ] I wonder if there's a way to prevent luring into a slumber so soon... just enough to ready whatever trap we can fashion.
